Lionsbridge and AD Ports Partner on Egypt Port Development

Cairo, Egypt — November 2025

Lionsbridge Investments Limited and AD Ports Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the joint development and operation of port services and logistics infrastructure for the Osiris Phosphoric Acid Facility in Safaga, Upper Egypt.

The collaboration combines Lionsbridge’s expertise in sustainable industrial investment with AD Ports Group’s global leadership in trade, logistics, and port management, marking an important step in advancing Egypt’s role as a regional logistics hub.

Brian Wesson, Managing Chairman of Lionsbridge Investments Limited, commented:

“We are pleased to partner with AD Ports Group, a global enabler of trade, logistics and industry. This collaboration will ensure that the Osiris project is supported by world-class port facilities, enabling efficient export operations and strengthening Egypt’s position in global trade.”

The MoU provides a framework for both organisations to jointly design, assess, and implement innovative port and logistics solutions that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and export capability. The initiative will also explore ways to position Safaga as a strategic logistics gateway connecting African, Middle Eastern, and European markets.

Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chief Executive Officer of AD Ports Group, added:

“Our collaboration with Lionsbridge Investments on the Osiris Phosphate project reflects our commitment to expanding regional trade infrastructure. By combining our logistics expertise with Lionsbridge’s industrial vision, we aim to jointly support Egypt’s economic ambitions and strengthen connectivity across the Red Sea and beyond.”

The USD 1.2 billion Osiris Phosphoric Acid Facility, developed by Osiris Phosphate Limited (a Lionsbridge-sponsored company), is set to become a cornerstone of Egypt’s industrial growth strategy. The facility will produce high-quality phosphoric acid and fertilisers, supporting sustainable agriculture and global food security.

This partnership reinforces Lionsbridge’s commitment to responsible, high-impact investment and AD Ports Group’s dedication to developing world-class trade infrastructure, together driving economic growth and regional integration.
